Itinerary
- 10:30am-11:30am: Explore Chepstow Castle
Building on Chepstow Castle began in 1067 making it one of Wales oldest castles. - 11:30am-11:45am: Old Wye Bridge, Chepstow
Walk along the Old Wye Bridge and have one foot in Monmouthshire, Wales and the other foot in Gloucestershire, England. - 12pm- 1pm: Tintern Abbey
Founded in 1131, this monastery of Gothic architecture sits next to the River Wye. - 1pm-2pm: Lunch in the Anchor Inn. An award winning pub that serves classic pub food.
(a one-minute walk away from Tintern Abbey) - 2:05pm-2:30pm: Abbey Mill, Wye Valley Centre
This is the original mill site of Tintern Abbey which was founded in 1131. - 2:50pm: Charles Rolls statue, Monmouth
A bronze statue dedicated to the Rolls Royce co-founder, Charles Rolls. - 3:50pm: Check in to the Jurys Inn Cardiff
- 9:25am: Luxury coach departs the hotel
- 10am-11:30am: 90 minute tour around Llancaiach Fawr
A Tudor manor house that once belonged to the Pritchard family. - 12pm-1pm: Rhondda Heritage Park
A coal mine that gives visitors the chance to go underground and experience a day in the life of a coal miner. - 1pm-2pm: Lunch at Caffe Bracchi at Rhondda Heritage Park. Where they serve two courses (A sandwich and a mini dessert) plus a drink.
- 2:15pm: Tom Jones Birthplace, Pontypridd
Drive through Kingsland Terrace, the birthplace of legendary Welsh singer Tom Jones. - 2:20pm-2:50pm: The Groggshop
One of Wales most unique shops displaying hundreds of caricature figures called Groggs. - 3:15pm: Arrive back at the hotel.
- 10:20am: Leave hotel on foot
- 10:30am-11:45am: Visit Cardiff Castle
The castle has over 2000 years of history and has a famous keep that was built in the 11th century. - 12pm-1pm: Lunch at Las Iguanas in Cardiff Bay. Serves Latin America style food.

A public plaza in Cardiff Bay that’s named after the children’s books author. - 1:20pm-1:30pm: Norwegian Church
Once the church of Norwegian sailors and the church where Roald Dahl was baptised. - 1:30pm-2:30pm: Free time in Cardiff Bay
- 2:45pm: Arrive back at the hotel.
12:00pm: Check out of the Jurys Inn Cardiff
