Itinerary

  • Arrive in Cardiff
  • Free time around Cardiff city centre
  • 3pm: Check in to the Jurys Inn Cardiff
  • 10am: Depart from the hotel on the luxury coach
  • 10:20am-11:20am: Arrive at Castell Coch and explore
  • 11:30am-12:30pm: Arrive at Caerphilly Castle and explore.
    Wales biggest castle and the second biggest castle in the United Kingdom
  • 12:45pm-2pm: Free time around Pontypridd town centre
  • 2:05pm-2:30pm: The Groggshop.
    One of Wales most unique shops displaying hundreds of caricature figures called Groggs.
  • 3pm: Arrive back at the Hotel
  • 10:20am: Depart the Jurys Inn for Rhondda Heritage Park 
  • 10:50am: Arrive at Rhondda Heritage Park 
  • 11:00am-12pm: Tour of the coal mine
    A coal mine that gives visitors the chance to go underground and experience a day in the life of a coal miner.
  • 12pm-12:50pm: Lunch at Caffe Bracchi at Rhondda Heritage Park. Lunch will include two courses (A sandwich and mini dessert) and a hot drink. 
  • 1:20pm: Arrive at the Royal Mint
  • 1:30pm: Tour will start.
    The only place that shows you where the United Kingdom’s coins are being made.
  • 3pm: Arrive back at the Hotel
  • 10:10am: Luxury coach departs the hotel
  • 11am-12pm: Explore Blaenavon Ironworks.
    The Ironworks were at the forefront of the industrial revolution in Wales and provided materials for the construction of bridges, railways and ships.
  • 12:10-12:50pm: Lunch at the Heritage Tea Rooms located in Blaenavon World Heritage Centre.  The cafe offers fresh cake, hot food and drink.
  • 1pm-2pm: Arrive at the Big Pit.
    A coal mine museum where visitors can go 300 feet underground.
  • 3pm: Arrive back at the hotel
  • 10am: Depart the hotel
  • 10:50am:Arrive at Penderyn Distillery in the Brecon Beacons
  • 11am: Tour starts
    See where the popular single malt Welsh Whisky is made.
  • 12:30pm-2pm: Free time around Brecon
  • 3pm: Arrive back at the Hotel
  • 10:10am: Luxury coach departs the hotel
  • 10:30am-12pm: St Fagan’s National Museum of History.
    The most popular historical attraction in Wales, showcasing traditional Welsh life.
  • 12:30pm-3pm: Llanerch Vineyard for lunch and vineyard tour
    A vineyard in the countryside but only 20 minutes away from Cardiff .
  • 3:30pm: Arrive back at the hotel
  • 10:30am: Depart the hotel
  • 10:50am-11:10am: Penarth Victorian Pier.
    A pier that was built in the Victorian period and has featured in the BBC Sci Fi series Torchwood.
  • 11:35am-1pm: Explore the town of Barry.
    A seaside town that was one of the main filming locations for Gavin & Stacey.
  • 1:15pm-2:45pm: Comeston Lakes
    A country park with a 14th century medieval village on site. 
  • 5:30pm: Arrive back at the hotel
